Fr. Thomas Vendetti, LC
Retreat Director
Father Thomas Vendetti, LC is originally from Rockville, MD. He joined the novitiate of the Legion of Christ in Connecticut in 1995. He studied philosophy and theology at the Pontifical Athenaeum Regina Apostolorum in Rome and obtained a licentiate in philosophy and bachelors in theology. He recently completed his MA in Christian Spirituality at Fordham University in NY, focusing on the Ignatian Spiritual Exercises. Since his ordination to the priesthood in 2009 he has served in the New York Tristate area for four years as vice rector and director of development for the Legionaries’ center of philosophy in Thornwood, NY, as well as chaplain for Regnum Christi in Manhattan. From 2013 to 2016 he was local director and chaplain for Regnum Christi in Chicago. He is currently serving in the Bay Area as director for Our Lady of Santa Clara Retreat Center and chaplain for Regnum Christi.
Doug Rimer
CEO
Doug Rimer joined the OLSC leadership team in late 2020 as a senior operational advisor after experiencing a life-changing encounter with Christ at one of the retreats that led to his Catholic conversion in 2021. Doug continues to provide strategic guidance as CEO for Our Lady of Santa Clara LLC. From the divine coincidence department, the Retreat Center and Legionary house property was donated by the widow of medical device pioneer and CEO Bob Reiss, a devout Catholic and Doug’s mentor of nine years in San Diego.
Doug’s medical device operations leadership experience spans over 30 years in both early-stage companies and strategic corporate environments at the VP and C-suite executive level. Doug has been responsible for teams ranging from a handful to over 1500 employees in multiple plants, providing the devices that enable physicians to treat patients in orthopedic and laparoscopic surgery, minimally invasive breast surgery, electrophysiology, interventional cardiology and neurology, ophthalmology, and other specialties. Doug earned a BS in Systems Science Engineering at UCSD and is currently CEO of a surgical device company.
Juan Pablo Brockmann
CFO
JP (Juan Pablo) is passionate about the work the Retreat Center does and the opportunity it provides for retreatants to have encounters with Christ that helps them grow in their healing and spiritual live to get closer to the ultimate goal of getting to heaven.
JP has been the CFO of Our Lady of Santa Clara Retreat Center since 2021 and under this role is responsible for the financial oversight, bookkeeping and financial planning of the center. In addition to his work at OLSC, JP has been a board member of the Young Catholic Professionals Silicon Valley chapter since 2018 and is a Provisional in the Order of Malta.
Originally from Mexico City, JP moved to the United States in 1999 to pursue an MBA at the University of Texas at Austin. He is married and has 2 children. His wife is also from Mexico City and an active member of the Regnum Christi community in the Bay Area.
JP has held several finance related roles in technology companies and currently works as VP Sales Finance for Snowflake.
Mark McLaughlin
Chair
Mark D. McLaughlin joined as President and CEO of Palo Alto Networks in August of 2011 and became Chairman of the Board in 2012. He stepped down as CEO and Chairman upon his retirement in 2018. From 2018 until 2022, Mark served as Vice Chairman of the Board.
Before coming to Palo Alto Networks, Mark served as President and CEO of Verisign.
For more than a decade, Mark has had the honor of serving as a member of the National Security Telecommunications Advisory Committee (NSTAC), a body that for more than 30 years has brought industry chief executives together to provide counsel on national security policy and technical issues to the U.S. President and national security leadership. Mark has served two-year terms as both Chairman and Vice-Chairman of the NSTAC. He received his J.D., magna cum laude, from Seattle University School of Law and his B.S. degree from the United States Military Academy at West Point. He served as an attack helicopter pilot in the U.S. Army and earned his Airborne Wings. Mark currently serves as Chairman of the board of directors for Qualcomm Inc, as well as a Board member of Snowflake and Rubrik, Inc.

Mark has served as a chair member of the Our Lady of Santa Clara Board since 2022.
Fr. Frank Formolo, LC
Manager
Father Frank was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and ordained a priest in 2003. In 1990, he began his studies with the Legionaries of Christ. From 1993-95, he served as Administrator of Dublin Oak Academy and the Novitiate of the Legionaries of Christ in Dublin, Ireland. From 1995-96, Father served as Administrator of the Community in Washington, DC, and obtained his License in Philosophy in 2000. From 2000-03, he studied Theology from Regina Apostolorum in Rome.

Father Frank worked in Promotion and Chaplaincy at two Legionary schools in Texas from 2003-07, and served as Vice Rector and Administrator of the Community in Dallas and Center of Formation in Thornwood, New York.
2012-16 he served as Superior and Administrator of the Edgerton Legionary Community, and from 2015-16, Vice Rector of the Sacred Heart Apostolic School, Rolling Prairie. He is currently pursuing an Executive Masters Degree in Nonprofit Administration at the University of Notre Dame as well as working as Territorial Administrator for the Legionaries of Christ in North America.
Lucy Honner, CRC
Manager
Lucy Honner is originally from Adelaide, South Australia where she worked professionally as an architect. In 1997, she felt drawn to dedicate a year of service to the Catholic Church through missionary work with Regnum Christi in the United States. The following year, Lucy experienced God’s call to dedicate her life to serving Christ and others as a consecrated member of Regnum Christi. She received her degree in education and religious sciences, and since 1998 has exercised her apostolate as a speaker, spiritual director, and retreat director for Regnum Christi throughout North America, including Washington DC, Minneapolis, MN, Atlanta, GA, Denver, CO and San Jose, CA.
